Cultural walk

Interested in an educational and cultural walk through the Jewish quarter? Since 2012, we have become a well-known name in the Netherlands, Belgium, and far beyond. Hundreds of schools, companies, associations, travel organizations, and day-trippers have already joined the Jewish Antwerp Tour. This inspiring experience is a perfect way to treat yourself, friends, family, colleagues, students, or your church community to a fascinating excursion!

We’re happy to share all the ins and outs of our neighborhood. The tour is co-organized by Jews living in Antwerp, offering you a genuine behind-the-scenes experience, including a synagogue visit where you'll see, among other things, the library and the sukkah (booth for the Feast of Tabernacles). During the visit, you're welcome to learn about our faith, culture, and biblical festivals.

Afterwards, enjoy warm hospitality and delicious dishes at a kosher restaurant.

Practical info and prices

• A guided walking tour of approx. 2 hours through the Jewish district with insights into Jewish life, culture, and history.
  Closed on Saturdays and Jewish holidays.
  Max. ~20 people per group/guide.

• Optional: Visit to the synagogue with explanation of Judaism and opportunity to ask questions to a member of the Orthodox Jewish community.
  30 min: €45 for up to 10 people – from 10 people: €4.50 p.p.
  60 min: €70 for up to 10 people – from 10 people: €7.00 p.p.
  90 min: €90 for up to 10 people – from 10 people: €9.00 p.p.

• Optional: After the walk, enjoy a light snack like a falafel sandwich at Beni Falafel.
• Optional: Lunch or dinner at the Yiddish restaurant Hoffy’s, with an explanation from the chef about kosher cuisine, dishes, and dietary laws.
  Price: 3-course dinner with mineral water from €35 p.p.
  Option to take home delicious food from the deli counter.
• Afterwards, feel free to explore the Jewish shops and the Diamond District on your own.

*After deducting costs, the proceeds from the tour go to a charitable organization that supports those in need in this neighborhood.
